CDL Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company trucks for deliveries and pickups
- Perform routine pre-trip, mid-trip, and post-trip inspections
- Complete and submit necessary reports
- Prepare shipping documents, weigh loads, and inspect materials
- Maintain accurate paperwork (scale tickets, logs, trip reports, etc.)
- Secure and tarp loads effectively
- Safeguard company property entrusted to you
CDL A Driver Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills

We’re seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for operating a variety of equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, and skid steers. You’ll work on exciting excavation projects, contributing to our company’s success.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to plans and specifications
- Perform various excavation tasks, such as digging foundations, trenches, and installing utilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Read and interpret blueprints (a plus)
- Utilize GPS technology (Trimble experience a plus)
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, and skid steers
- A valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work long hours (40-60 hours per week)

About Us: Cutting Edge Excavating Inc. is a growing, family-owned excavating company established in 2009. We are dedicated to quality work and reliable service in the construction industry. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Accountant/Office Assistant. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient office operations and accurate financial records as our company continues to grow.
Reports To: President and CFO
Hours: Approximately 20-30 hours per week. Flexible scheduling within standard business hours is possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping Support:
- Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) cycle, including processing invoices, obtaining approvals, and issuing payments, primarily utilizing Sage accounting software.
- Process and organize Accounts Receivable (AR) support documentation and assist with customer invoicing and payment application as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry.
Office & Administrative Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming phone calls, directing calls and taking messages professionally.
- Manage the accurate and timely filing, scanning, and digital organization of financial and administrative documents.
- Coordinate and submit Miss Dig requests (or similar utility locate requests) for excavation projects.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Handle other general administrative tasks, such as ordering office supplies, managing mail, and supporting staff.
Qualifications:
- Experience in an accounting or administrative role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Sage accounting software is a significant advantage.
- Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (basic formulas, data sorting, and formatting).
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional phone etiquette and strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Service Technician – Truck & Heavy Equipment (Full-Time)

About the Role:
We are searching for a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment, including:
- Gas and diesel pickups
- Diesel semi-trucks
- Dump trucks
- Dump trailers
- This is a full-time position with a regular shift schedule of 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems in trucks and heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks like lubrication, oil changes, and brake checks
- Collaborate with fellow technicians to troubleshoot complex issues
- Maintain accurate service records
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines and their components
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in truck or heavy equipment repair (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A valid driver’s license
- A CDL Class A is a plus (for test drives)
